GEMINI have recently designed and commissioned a remotely operated
COLLIMATOR PLUG specifically designed for use with 3rd party Irradiators already in operation.
With these systems proving increasingly unreliable and incidents of sources becoming stuck in highly dangerous exposed positions, GEMINI felt strongly that something should be added to make them completely safe.
GEMINI have recently designed and commissioned a remotely operated
COLLIMATOR PLUG specifically designed for use with 3rd party Irradiators already in operation.

•GEMINI have designed and built an automatic collimator plug.
•Securely mounts to the side of any existing 3rd party Irradiator.
•Makes system safe if a source gets stuck in an exposed position.
•Minimises operator & maintenance worker radiation dose.
•Remotely operated from the control,
•Lead plug is powered into the collimator of the irradiator
•Powered via two electromechanical actuators.
•Can be manually driven via hand wheel during power outage.
